I want to be a member... What do I do???
Becoming a member of a local church is an important part of your faith journey. With several different religious backgrounds and traditions, this section of our website details the process of becoming a member at First Baptist Church of Wartburg.
Step 1: Ensure that you have personal faith and trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! If this is in doubt—we need to talk!
Step 2: Follow the Lord’s guidance and be baptized by immersion. As long as step 1 is complete—we can help set this up!
Step 3: Pray! Make sure this is where the Lord is leading you to plug in!

Step 4: Make it known that you want to be a member… you can do this by:
1. Approaching the pastor at the end of a service. We will celebrate your desire!
2. Fill out the Connections Card stating your desire.
3. Email: [email protected]
4. Call: 423-346-3550 (church office)
Step 5: After you’ve asked your questions and we’ve either made plans for your baptism or verified your prior believer's baptism by immersion—we will bring it before the Church for a vote! Don’t worry, we are as excited as you are!
